Bikram teachers are in an interesting position. They need to overcome the newbies&#39; fear of the strange, hot environment. Most people that want to leave can actually just rest it out on their mats for a few minutes. We typically need to learn to adapt to the hot environment for a few classes before that desire to leave goes away.<br /><br />However, if you have health concerns or feel like you&#39;re going to throw up or experience other bad symptoms like that, just ignore the teacher and go. Probably the teacher should have said, &quot;TRY to stay in the room&quot; to a newbie. In the end, though, it&#39;s YOUR body, so listen to it, despite what the teacher says.<br /><br />I hope you stick with it!
